The Shaken Baby Association Inc and the Lake County Sheriff's
Police
Several years ago, the FOP Lodge 66 members began attending functions in
Wisconsin for the Shaken Baby Association, Inc. Being sheriff's
deputies, we definitely understood the need for better awareness to
shaken baby syndrome (a medical term describing the brain trauma that
results from violently shaking an infant of child). Years of
friendship with the organization lead to FOP Lodge 66 asking them to
join us for our charity golf outing in 2005.
Three years later, the lodge has raised in excess of $10,000 for the
Wisconsin based
charity organization, solely from our yearly golf outing. With an
interested in expanding south, the Lake County Sheriff's Police FOP
Lodge hopes to provide that first step to the organization.
