Additional Information:
This program is totally funded by donations from the public. Each child will have $100 with which to shop with. Uniformed Deputies will act as chaperones to help the junior shoppers make sound decisions and assist them in keeping track of how much they spend. The children are taken on a shopping excursion where they are encouraged to buy those items they need most. We say “encouraged,” because they are often too discouraged to dare hope for the opportunity to have such things as new shoes, coats, clothing, and even an appropriate toy or two.
If you would like to make a donation, please have your check made out to FOP Lodge 66 and mailed to FOP Lodge 66 PO Box 804 Waukegan, IL 60087. The more money that we are able to raise will determine the number of children we are able to help. Your charitable donation is tax deductible and I thank you in advance for your support to help make this a special Christmas for the children that we can help.
